At the end of the day, I gathered each of the three to the table and put their jar of soaking seeds in front of them. I handed them each a spoon and had them fish out their seeds to put onto a paper towel.
Once all the seeds were collected, we made sure the seeds were stuck on the paper towel, then wrinkled it and put it back into the jar.
Babe had a short lesson on parts of the seed today, including EMBRYO duh from yesterday...the term of the teeny tiny plant I couldn't remember, seed coat, and stored food.
Then we took our handy dandy Snoopy Sno-Cone juice squirter, filled it with water, and wet the paper towels to feed the seeds.
I asked Babe what she thought was going to happen.
"I don't know. I think the seeds will grow though. Much better than the seeds in the rocks outside!"
ha! What a cool and random connection to her Spring Experiment.
With that, Thursday was over. But Babe knows minimal school today means double school tomorrow!
