Three. Two. Four.

Today in Math, Babe finished up with her numbers 0-10! Finally! And after her worksheets, we finished Math! On to something new next week! Woohoo!

After Math we headed to the library where Babe actually got to read a book to the class! The librarian was very impressed with her reading skills. Babe was very proud, and all the parents in the class couldn't give her enough encouragement. It was very cute. :)

After lunch, I brought out "Shoes from Grandpa" again and asked Babe if she remembered what kind of party the family was having at the beginning of the story.

"A sausage party."

Oh man. I laughed hysterically. In my head.

I pointed to the word in the book and then she remembered the term "barbecue."

With that, I told her we were going to write a shopping list for the barbecue. Our goal was to write ten things on the list that we would need for the party. She did really good with this and sounded out most of the words herself!

After writing her list, we moved on and I handed her "Whose Mouse are You?" by Robert Kraus. What an adorable book! Her eyes lit up at the end when she saw a baby mouse and she didn't get it at first, but when she read the words, she smiled so big!

I had Babe create her own "Whose Babe Are You?" book when she was done reading this one. There will be video of the book in tomorrow's blog.

We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on Checkpoints. Then the day was done!
